| In 1995, Aaronite Italia spa was formed by Fillipo Massai and Colin Frew. The combined experience of both individuals resulted in a formidable new player entering the passive fire protection arena. Following its formation, Aaronite Italia were invited to enter early discussion with the Italian government to forward plan an upgrade programme over several years for the fire protection of LPG Spheres, Vessels and Pipe Work throughout Italy, Sardinia and Sicily. With LPG being the main energy source with storage tanks located close to all the major cities and villages, these vital assets were in need of long term protection from any possible catastrophic fire event which could result in a devastating regional and national energy LPG shortage bringing huge pressure to bear to the overall energy supply logistics. A strategic LPG Storage Vessel upgrade programme was initiated and commenced in 1995 leading to peak activity during 2007. Today we address the requirement of new projects and continue to replace and/or upgrade older passive fire protection systems which ensures the wellbeing and safety of this vital energy resource within this mediteranian region. |
